Frequently Asked Questions

How did I get into tattooing?

My sophomore year of college at The Ohio State University my friend, Doug, jokingly made a deal with me. He wanted to buy a super expensive weighted blanket. Doug said he would only do it if I bought a tattoo machine at the same time, so we both made irrational purchases. I found a machine on Amazon, and my roommate, Kenny, agreed to get the first tattoo. He was about to wuss out, but then about 15 people from my dorm all came to watch.
The rest is history.

Getting a tattoo in Los Angeles or Ohio?

I currently live in Los Angeles and have my own studio NOVA SPACE in Silverlake. If you booked a tattoo for LA, this is where we will be doing your tattoo.

I am originally from Ohio, so for Cleveland appointments I will send you the location once your appointment is booked. I will be going to Columbus a few times throughout the year as well.

Cost?

The price depends on the detail, time, and placement of the tattoo. After we decide on a design and placement, I can give an estimate of the cost.
There is a $150 non-refundable deposit for all tattoos.
I don’t charge by the hour, but it averages around 300-350/h.

this cost: $2200.  this cost: $1100.    this cost: $350.

Tattoo Tour FAQ

If you don’t live in LA or Ohio (or don’t want to travel to either), I will be going on tattoo tours across the USA and the world throughout the year. Every month I plan on going to a different state/country.
It all depends on where the most interest is.

How should I prepare for my tattoo?

I recommend that you eat well and stay hydrated before your tattoo and during your tattoo. Don't drink alcohol 24 hours prior, as it may increase bleeding and dilutes the ink. That will affect the appearance and healing process of your tattoo.
